Mid-fire clay, 28"x 161/4" x 10"

The Jester or Trickster is an archetype that has many meanings.  Transformation is one of the meanings, and the one I have applied to this piece.  The spirals represent life's path.  In the interior, you are presented with 13 doors of different sizes, the room is dark, and the walls are cracked, but noticing the cracks connect all the doors.  Thrown to the side, are a pair of dice which are indicating the lucky number 7, but have not landed flat.  The piece is representative of the possibilities of the unknown.
