Tribal Series
The Tribal Series evolved from my visit to the Denver Art Museum for the Dior Exhibit. The faces are longer, more stylized with uplifting eyes, which reminded me of the makeup used on the model’s eyes. It was winter, and I was also thinking about the Spring and my garden. I combined these faces with my love of nature and all things tribal. I was interested in the tribal representation of the feminine, and the portrayal of strength and beauty.
